India Developing Laptop for at price of US $10
India is said to be developing a US $10 Laptop. The laptop is targeted at higher education applications. A research for the new lost-cost laptop is being carried out in Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai. Although no specifications were shared in the press conference today there are some indications that the Government shall be providing a subsidy. In the press conference it was also declared that the Indian Government plans to provide free bandwidth for education purposes to every Indian.
