Full pension entitlement after 20 years of Service

The Union Cabinet has accepted the following recommendations proposed by 6th pay commission for Indian Govt. Employees .

1. Full pension benefits on completion of 20 years Service (presently it is 33 years)
2. Gratuity limit raised to Rs 10 lakh
3. Additional 20 per cent pension for octogenarians of their basic pension 30 per cent more for those aged 85, 100 per cent additional pension for centurions.
4. Exclusion of earned leave encashed while in service from the overall limit
5. Clubbing of earned leave and half-day pay leave for encashment.
